Below you will find a flowchart that explains each of the programs LX United has to offer. If you click on each of the boxes, it will open a document that outlines each of these programs. We hope this helps you understand the “soccer world” as it can get confusing as kids get older. If you have any questions or problems opening the flowchart or attached documents, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our operations directors.

Tryouts are typically held in early June. We will update members and the public when a schedule is available. The Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) determines the window of when we are able to hold tryouts and when we are able to offer roster spots to players. The “soccer year” runs from August 1st to July 31st. June tryouts are for the upcoming fall and spring seasons. Spring only players are still required to attend June tryouts.
Teams are formed by our Coaching Directors who collaborate with the tryout committee to review player evaluations. We are assisted by the professional Milwaukee Kicker’s coaching directors and a few of their selected coaches. Players are assessed in primarily 4 key areas that include technical, tactical, physical, and psychological abilities. While players are assessed on the prior basis, other factors may be considered when forming teams such as team composition and balance. We will provide players with the best developmental opportunities suited to their current skill level.
Yes, players can choose to play one session or both. We request that the player’s intentions are known prior to the fall season so that we can roster accordingly. We are transparent in our tryout and rostering practices so please note, due to rostering logistics, players who commit to both seasons may be given priority on a roster for our age groups with multiple teams.
LX United’s competitive teams typically participate in 3-4 tournaments per season and/or may also have a combination of tournament and league play. Our developmental teams participate in two tournaments as well as local league opportunities. Most events are in Wisconsin and/or within a 4 hour radius of La Crosse County. Recreational teams will play league matches within 30 minutes of La Crosse County.
